How onboarding works
Your first 90 days, in plain English.
Your job is to answer the extra phone calls. Everything below is ours, and every date is a promise we put in writing. No discovery call, no setup fee, and you keep ownership of every account.
The timeline: day 0, 1, 7, 30 and 90
Days count from payment. Here is what you can hold us to.
- Day0
Sign up online
Five minutes, from your truck if you like. Within the hour of payment you get one email with your access checklist.
- Day1
Sprint scheduled
Within one business day your Setup & Optimization Sprint is on the calendar, and we start on access. No setup fee.
- Day7
Profile rebuilt, baseline map
Your Google profile is rebuilt, posting and review tools are live, and your baseline ranking map lands in your inbox.
- Day30
First report
End of month one: a two-page report with where you show up, what shipped, and the one thing we fix next.
- Day90
90-day rhythm
A report every month and a 90-day review around day 80 to 85, with an honest read on what to do next.
Somewhere around day 14 you also get a short update and a 15-minute walkthrough of your 90-day plan, by call or text. Already signed up? Open your setup wizard from the link in your email.
What we'll ask you for
Two short lists. The first is about ten minutes of answers. The second is access, by invite only. You never hand over a password, and you can do it all on your phone.
Eight questions about your business
Plain words. Skip any you don't know and we'll fill the gap from public sources.
- What jobs do you want more of, and what do you turn down?
- Which towns do you serve, and what are your hours?
- How long have you been in business, and what licenses or insurance should we show?
- What do customers say about you? Three things, in their words.
- How do you sound? Three words, so we write like you and not like a brochure.
- Who do you respect and who do you lose jobs to? Your competitors, good and bad.
- Do you work with an agency or web person now? So we stay out of each other's way.
- Anything off-limits? Words, topics or promises we should never use.
Access, and why each one matters
Invites only. You stay the owner of everything.
- Google Business Profile (manager invite)This is what shows on the map and in "near me" searches, so it comes first. Two clicks.Don't have one? We create and verify it with you. You stay the owner.
- Google Analytics and Search Console (viewer)So the report shows real traffic and the searches people use to find you.Don't have them? We set them up under your own Google account.
- Facebook, Instagram and LinkedInOne secure link connects them so we can post for you. You sign in to each yourself. No pages yet? We walk you through creating them, in your name.
- Website login (Be the Answer and up)So we can install the schema and FAQ work on your site. Can't find it? We help you recover access. Own Your Market: we build the site.
- Bing Places and Bing Webmaster ToolsBing feeds several AI assistants. We handle it, and only ask if Bing wants a verification code.
Also handy: about ten real photos from recent jobs. Phone pictures are perfect. Bonus points if the truck is clean.
What you decide vs. what we handle
You make the calls only you can make. We do the rest, and Marc looks at everything before it goes out under your name.
You decide
A few minutes, mostly at the start.
- What to say and what never to say. Your services, your off-limits list, your guarantees.
- Who has access. You grant every invite and can remove us anytime.
- Your prices and promises. Anything with a dollar figure or a guarantee is yours to confirm.
- What to do next. At the 90-day review, you choose whether to upgrade, hold or stop.
We handle
Nothing here needs you to log in.
- Your Google profile rebuild, weekly posts, photos and Q&A.
- Review requests and replies. Marc approves every reply, and you can see it too.
- Citations, Bing, schema and the AI-search work that gets you recommended, not just listed.
- The monthly report, with the worse news first.
Nothing publishes under your name until Marc has seen it. You can see it too, and tell us to change or pull anything.
What you get every month
One two-page report in plain English, on the 1st. No dashboards to log into.
Page one: where you stand
- Your ranking map against your baseline
- How often ChatGPT and Google's AI recommend you (Be the Answer and up)
- Reviews in, and how they were answered
Page two: what we did
- Everything that shipped this month
- What did not move, said plainly
- The one thing we are fixing next
If you have nothing yet
No profile, no site, no logo, no social pages? That is a normal starting point. Tell us and we build it, and the accounts stay in your name.
No Google Business Profile
We create it on your own Google account and get it verified with you, often by a short video of your truck and tools. Google can take up to a week to approve, so the profile rebuild may land a little after day 7 while everything else holds.
No website
Fine on Get Found. Be the Answer needs a site to work on, so we will either put up a one-page site on your own domain or show you Own Your Market, which includes a full build. You buy the domain in your name.
No logo
We sketch three directions from your trucks, shirts and vibe. A finished logo is a proper design job, so Marc will talk you through it. A clean text mark works for your profile photo in the meantime.
No social accounts
We walk you through creating a Facebook Page, and Instagram or LinkedIn if they suit your trade, under your own login. Then one secure link connects them.
Questions owners ask
Do I need to be on a call?
No. Signing up, the intake questions, photos and account access all happen online or by text, and most owners finish in about ten minutes. Around day 14 you get a short update and a 15-minute walkthrough of your 90-day plan, by call or text, your pick. The one exception is Own Your Market, which starts with a 20-minute scoping call because we are building your site.
What if I already have an agency or a web person?
That is fine, and we will not ask you to fire anyone. Tell us what they already handle and we will stay out of it. The one thing to avoid is two teams editing the same Google Business Profile or website at once, because the edits step on each other, so we will agree on who touches what before we start. If they are happy with the arrangement, we work around them. If you are not happy with them, that is your call, and you keep every account either way.
Who owns the accounts?
You do. Your Google Business Profile, Analytics, Search Console, social pages and website stay in your name. We ask for a manager or viewer role through an invite, never the owner role and never your password. If you leave, we remove ourselves, send you an export pack (reports, rankings data, content, reviews, listings and photos), and you keep everything.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Get Found and Be the Answer are month-to-month, so you can cancel anytime with no setup fee to claw back. Own Your Market is a 12-month term because it includes a new website build at no build fee. If we miss an item on your plan in any month, that month is free.
What do you need from my web guy?
For Get Found, nothing. For Be the Answer, we need to be able to add schema and FAQ blocks to your site, so we ask for a user login with an administrator or editor role. Tell us who built the site and what it runs on (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and so on) and we will send your web person a two-line how-to. Sometimes a DNS record is needed to verify a tool, and we will tell them exactly which. Please do not email passwords, and we will not ask you to.
How fast will I see results?
Honestly, it depends on your market, your competition and how strong your website is, and nobody can promise a ranking or a call count, because Google and the AI assistants decide that. What usually happens: the first 30 days build the foundation, somewhere in days 30 to 60 you tend to see movement on the searches we are going after, and by days 60 to 90 more calls and direction requests tend to show up. For a two-truck plumber in a crowded suburb, 90 days is a fair test and 150 is a fair verdict. Either way you see the numbers every month, good news or bad, measured against the baseline map we build in your first week.
