BreakAway AI Strategies Get Started Online

The Team · Houston, Texas

One person accountable.
Sixteen agents doing the grind.

BreakAway is a one-principal company with a roster of purpose-built AI agents. Here is who does what for a plumber, an HVAC company, or any local trade we work with, and who signs off on all of it.

MA

Principal · Fractional CMO

Marc Atnipp

I've spent more than 20 years building websites and running marketing for Houston-area businesses through FDI Creative, most of them small companies with no marketing department: contractors, medical practices, industrial suppliers, law firms. The job was always the same. Get the phone to ring, and make sure the owner could see what they were paying for.

I'm the person you text. Not a sales team, not an account manager who rotates out in six months. More about how I work →

How we work

Break Away is deliberately small. Instead of a back office we run purpose-built AI agents for research, setup, content, posting, reviews, and reporting. Each one proposes; Marc decides. Nothing is published, sent, or spent without Marc seeing it first.

RE

Reese

Research Agent

Finds what is true about a market, a competitor, or an audience before anyone spends a dollar. Cites everything.

More about Reese

Before we touch your profile, Reese reads the market. For a plumber that means who is actually showing up in the map results for "emergency plumber near me," what the top three are doing with reviews and pages, and which searches nobody local has answered yet. Every finding comes with a source link, so if a number looks off you can check it in ten seconds.

She hands Sloan three headline numbers and one recommended next move, not a forty-page binder. If she can't back something up, it doesn't go in. She also re-runs the market read when something shifts, like a competitor launching a new site or a storm that changes what people are searching.

MA

Max

Client Setup Agent

Runs the setup sprint. Gets us into GBP, Analytics, Search Console and the socials, builds what the client is missing, and does not stop until the checklist is green.

More about Max

Max runs your first week. He asks for access to your Google Business Profile, Analytics, Search Console and social pages, walks you through the two-click invites, and keeps a checklist that stays red until every item is connected. If you don't have a Search Console property or a Facebook page, he builds one.

Most HVAC and plumbing owners can't say who holds the login to the website somebody's nephew built. Max finds out, helps you recover it, and doesn't move on until the checklist is green. Nothing goes out under your name until the access is right.

PI

Piper

Planning Agent

Turns research into a dated 90-day plan with owners and milestones. Keeps the calendar honest.

More about Piper

Piper takes the research and Sloan's strategy and turns them into a dated 90-day plan: what goes live in which week, who owns it, and what counts as done. For an HVAC client that means the tune-up posts land in March, not in June.

Every milestone has a name next to it, either an agent or Marc, and a date. You can read the plan in five minutes and know what you are getting this month. When the season or the priorities change, she redraws it and tells you what moved and why.

SL

Sloan

Strategy Agent

Decides what not to do. Positions the offer, picks channels, sets the bet.

More about Sloan

Sloan's job is deciding what not to do. A two-truck plumbing shop doesn't need a podcast, a TikTok account and a Google Ads budget. It needs a finished profile, steady reviews and three pages that answer the expensive questions. Sloan picks the channels, sets the bet, and writes down why.

He runs rarely, at onboarding and when something material changes, and that is on purpose. One good decision up front saves months of busywork. Marc reads the strategy brief before anything else gets built.

CO

Cole

Copywriting Agent

Writes in the client's voice, three ways, and tells you which one he'd ship.

More about Cole

Every post, review reply and page intro starts as three versions in your voice: a plain one, a punchy one, a warmer one. Cole marks the one he would publish and says why. If you talk like a guy who has been under sinks for twenty years, the copy sounds like that, not like a brochure.

He works from your own words: your reviews, your website, the way you describe a job on the phone. Nothing he writes goes live until Marc has read it, and when your voice and our house style disagree, your voice wins.

TE

Ted

Testing Agent

A/B tests everything that goes out. Calls a winner only when the math says so.

More about Ted

When Cole writes two versions of a review request or a page headline, Ted runs them against each other. He won't call a winner on a hunch. He uses a proper significance test and waits until there are enough calls, clicks or replies for the result to mean something.

For a small shop the honest answer is often "not enough data yet," and Ted says that instead of guessing. When he does call a winner, he writes up what changed and what to do with it, so the better version becomes the default.

CA

Cara

Conversion Agent

Watches landing pages, forms and calls-to-action. Proposes the change, shows the expected lift.

More about Cara

Cara looks at what happens after someone lands on your site. Does the phone number work as a tap on a phone? Does the form ask for seven things when it needs three? Does the emergency page say "call now" or bury it under a paragraph about your history? She finds one thing to change at a time.

She brings Marc a proposed change and an expected lift, not a redesign. On a plumbing or HVAC site that is usually a click-to-call button above the fold or a shorter form. You see the before and after, and nothing changes on your site without approval.

GA

Gabe

Google Business Profile Specialist

Rebuilds and runs the profile: categories, services, photos, Q&A, weekly posts. Where the phone calls come from.

More about Gabe

Gabe rebuilds and runs your Google Business Profile: primary and secondary categories, every service you actually sell, photos, Q&A and a weekly post. For most local trades this is where the phone calls come from, so it gets the most attention of anything we touch.

He fixes the boring things that cost calls: wrong hours, a duplicate listing, a category that says "contractor" when you are a plumber. Edits and posts go through Marc first, and the profile stays yours. We are a manager on it, you are the owner.

SM

Sam

Social Media Manager

Runs the posting calendar from the plan. Drafts, schedules, reports.

More about Sam

Sam runs the posting calendar the plan calls for on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. He drafts around jobs you actually ran: a finished water heater swap, a geotagged photo, a line about what the homeowner was dealing with, posted the same week.

Drafts land in front of Marc before anything is scheduled. Sam doesn't invent jobs or drop in stock photos of a crew that isn't yours, and if there is nothing new to post he says so instead of filling the calendar. You get a short report on what people actually engaged with.

RA

Rae

Reviews & Reputation Agent

Asks for reviews the right way, drafts every reply in the owner's voice, flags the ones that need a human.

More about Rae

Rae asks for reviews the way that works: a link and QR code sent right after the job, while the homeowner still remembers the hot water coming back. She drafts a reply to every review in your voice, with the job mentioned, so the replies don't read like a template.

A bad review, or anything that sounds like a dispute, never gets an automatic reply. Rae flags it for you and Marc with a draft if it helps. Replies are a trust signal to Google and to AI assistants, and they are the part shops skip when they are busy.

GU

Gus

Google Ads Specialist

Builds and tunes search campaigns. Kills what does not convert.

More about Gus

When a client wants paid search on top of the organic work, Gus builds it: emergency-intent keywords like "AC repair near me," tight service-area targeting, call extensions, and a budget ceiling set before the first click.

He works from written kill rules. A keyword that spends without producing calls gets paused, not nursed. Nothing is spent without Marc approving the budget first, and you see cost per call in plain numbers rather than a page of impressions.

NO

Nora

Newsletter Agent

One email a week per client, on time, with a working unsubscribe.

More about Nora

Nora sends one email a week per client at most. For a plumber that is a short note to past customers: a water heater tip, a seasonal reminder, this month's offer. Every email carries a working one-click unsubscribe and follows CAN-SPAM rules.

Past customers are the cheapest jobs you will ever book, and most shops never email them. Nora turns it into a habit without turning it into spam. Marc approves every send before it goes out.

SK

Skye

SMS Agent

Short, compliant, opted-in texts. Never more than the client agreed to.

More about Skye

Skye writes short texts to customers who opted in to hear from you, and only those people: a reminder that furnace-check season is here, a note that you have openings this week. She never sends more in a month than the client agreed to.

Texting comes with strict rules on consent, timing and opt-outs, and the penalties are real. Skye checks every message against a compliance checklist before it reaches Marc, and Marc approves it before it goes out.

PA

Pat

Podcast Producer

Script, voice, mix, publish. Reads the article so the client does not have to.

More about Pat

Pat turns an approved article into a short audio episode. He writes the script from the article, generates the voice, mixes it, and publishes it. The "what does a new AC cost" article becomes something a homeowner can listen to in the truck.

It is one more way to use content you have already approved, not a place for new claims. Pat reuses the approved text, so what is said out loud matches what is on your site. Not every client needs a podcast; he works when it fits the plan.

SG

Sage

SEO / AEO Specialist

Gets clients found on Google and cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.

More about Sage

Sage is the one who gets you found on Google and cited by AI assistants. On a Be the Answer plan that means schema and FAQ blocks installed on your site, your top four service pages rewritten answer-first, and new emergency and service-area pages for the towns you cover.

Every month Sage checks 20 prompts across Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, like "who is the best plumber near me" in your town, and reports how often you are named. That is your AI mention share. It goes up when your site and profile give the models something clear to quote.

RM

Remy

Reporting Agent

Pulls the numbers, builds the two-page monthly report, and says what we are fixing next. No vanity metrics.

More about Remy

Remy pulls the numbers and builds the two-page monthly report: the ranking map of your service area, your AI mention share, what shipped, and the one thing we are fixing next. It is the report you will actually read. You can see a sample here.

No vanity metrics. If calls went up he says by how many and from where. If the map didn't move he says that and what we are changing. Marc reads every report before it reaches you.

These agents are AI systems run by Break Away AI Strategies under human supervision.
